An aweful day yday....Youzhny costing me money and could have been worse if I didnt lay Radwanksa at 1.02. Oh well a new day today!
I reckon the value today is laying Ferrer at 1.15 (Im sure he will trade higher) and backing Petkovic at around 2.6. What do u guys think?

Decent week
Well today started well with wins in the Fish Gasquet match and the Ferrer Devvarman match, however the two evening matches were a bit of a disaster although managed to cut my losses in the Isner match.
I thought Sod would have given a better fight than he did tonight, I didnt red out and was waiting for a positive trade which never happened. Overall though Ive been minimising my reds really well this week and this is something I've got to improve on. P&L for the week below:

Kohly vs Delpo
Some more value was found in the matches tonight, Delpo went from 1.35 to 1.12 with just a break early in the match, what a ridiculous price, I laid it straight away and Kohly does the honours and breaks back :) more than 150% on each, Turning out to be a great night!!
First day back and its a solid one
Well today has been generally great, I minimised any reds I had to a small amount which I am very happy about as Ive been struggling to get my reds down recently, Rochus match was great for trading, Rochus has been in good form winning a challenger recently and also he did well in Miami last year and had points to defend. After Kavcic won the first set I found an entry point for a decent green.
Was also following the Na Li match and at 4-1 up in 2nd set I just had to lay Larsson as the price was so cheap and was decent value even if it was to lose. I equalised my green after 2nd set.
My biggest green was laying Kiri at 1.01 for just a few quid as I know she can be a choker. This paid off with huge reward from little risk :) Anyways heres the p&l today:
BTW all profits are to £30 risk, this is value trading baby :)

Quiet but consistent day
Traded a little today and was pretty happy with the results, not one red so far, lets hope almugro doesnt spoil it :)
Wozniaki vs Bartoli
Was browsing around in the markets today and couldnt believe the pre match price for Wozniaki to win in straight sets. By doing a little research you can see that over the last 20 odd matches shes only lost the first set once....so a trading opportunity was definitely possible here, I took the pre match odds for 2-0 and it ended up with a nice green, risked only small amount this time though:

Youzhny vs Simon
Youzhny can be a slow starter, as was the case today with Simon taking the first set. I managed to get Youzhny at a v good price and the results are below with stakes of no more than £30!

Tip of the day
Don't overtrade! choose your matches carefully, there is no need to enter every single match that is going on during the day. Choose matches where value can be taken. The more trades you perform, the more chance that one will go badly wrong.
Thats all for today.
Take care

Few days off
Hi guys, hope you are well, decided to take a few days off after an intense week of trading, got exams coming up in a month and a half so will start to study a little. Had some great classes already with some bright up and coming traders. Classes in value trading will continue this week. I will also go through my trading methods Please email if interested. You wont get better value any where else.

Chela vs Almagro
Red for me on this one, had couple chances to exit but did not take them, instead waiting for better price. Almagro always worth a lay at low odds though as can be mentally fragile!
Cilic vs Troicki
Always have faith in the player u back, remember patience is key if its not going the way u want it at first.
Kvitova vs Wickmayer
A good match for trading, many opportunities to enter at good prices.
Over 250% ROI on Kvitova, small risk high reward is the way forward!

Todays profit
Overall a good day, very disappointed with my trades in the Cilic match as could have easily exited with a small loss but instead got greedy, most of the others I'm happy with:
Murray vs Baggy
Got a nice lay in at 1.01 in set 1 market, huge profit for me, also laid murray from 1.3 downwards to 1.08 in Match Odds market, position rite now:

Chela vs Da Silva
Got Chela at an excellent price, with the other guy being mainly a challenger level player, some decent value was on chela even a break down in 2nd....over 150% ROI for me on this one:
Sod vs haase
My first big red for the blog and to be honest I would do the same trade again as at 1.06 after 1st set I thought haase was great value, especially at home and with his big serve. Unfortunately he played really poor today and the result is big red for me although only needed 1.04 to exit positively:
Petz vs De Bakker
Entered this market after 1st set, De bakker can be mentally weak at times and hasnt won a match for a while, thought 1.18 was a nice price to enter:
Monday, 7 February 2011
Davydenko vs Llodra
Thought Davy started a little short today especially with Llodras indoor records, went ahead and laid Davy at 1.56 and 1.37, Leaving all green on Llodra, he better win lol!
Sunday, 6 February 2011
Robredo vs Giraldo
Got in after 1st set and laid robredo at 1.15 and 1.09. I knew Giraldo was a slow starter and Robredo can be a mug at the best of times :P
Devvarman vs Anderson
I thought that Anderson started far too short today, even though he was the home favourite these two have met a few years ago in semi finals of NCAA with devvarman taking that one. Devvarman has also had an excellent tourney hitting the ball well, so I started with a lay of Anderson, position currently is :

Some Tips
To be a successful trader you must have good discipline, patience and money management skills. With regards to tennis:
1. I will never back a favourite sub 1.5 pre-match as these sort of prices offer very little value and over the long run backing these prices u will be a loser.
2. Value generally arises during the match. A player who is strong favourite pre match and starts badly and loses first set, his price would normally go up 4 times starting price. This maybe a good time to back.
3.Value also exists in backing a decent outsider who is in good form and has a chance to cause the favourite trouble. Often the prices of these outsiders are wrong for example Djokovic was a great bet today, hes been in great form all tournament and Federer hasn't been at his best. 1.5 price on Fed was far too low and was sure a lay. Backing decent outsiders over the long run will be much more profitable than consistently backing sub 1.5 favourites over the long run.
Thats all for today, more tips will follow soon
